Fall Trends Update
Prime Time TV Viewing Drops Again

The Big 4 TV networks are experiencing another drop in prime time viewing this season, especially in the 10-11PM time slot. According to an LA Times article, worried TV execs are looking at several possible causes: the growth of DVRs, continued fallout from the writers’ strike and increasing competition from cable.

PPM Update
There’s been a flurry of activity over the Portable People Meter over the last two weeks. While Arbitron has gone current in 8 more markets in the US – and many people are not very happy about that – BBM in Canada is preparing for its rollout in December, starting in Montreal. Here’s an update on what’s going on with PPM.
