Kennedy also dug deeper into the stats on the artists featured on Pandora. He said that the service has over 90,000 artists in its system, available for airplay. Yet most of the music served up to users comes from signed artists. Furthermore, only 30% of the unsigned acts that submit music to Pandora have their music accepted. And unsigned artists are required by the service to make their albums available for sale through Amazon.
